After my crit and my feelings towards the current book cover designs I'd produced being too 'young-girl' looking instead of 'female-of-any-age' style, I went on the search of something that would put a mature spin on the hand made typographic design. The book jackets below display a really simple and clever way of limiting the background colour down to strips. This could potentially be a really good idea.
